Go ahead and put up colorful tents in a tight formation to satisfy your vitriol because there’s no other reason for it. I’d rather use my tuition on quality DL and financial aid.

I regret taking the bait at all to be drawn into someone’s grievance hour. This is like trying to reason with Bleach Trump that it’s time to leave. Pointless.

Looks like the truth hurts. You’re now dismissing solutions that would have allowed the students to be in person all fall as some sort of folly, and stating that you would prefer “quality DL.” That speaks for itself. In any case, you should try getting our of your pseudo-enlightened echo chamber once in a while. You might learn something.

You sound like a pompous a$$

As opposed to the commenters who talked about “utter nonsense” and “all of our friends”?

Oh, what happened? Nobody likes you very much? Oh. Weh. Just realized?

What are you talking about? How is this related to what the PP said? Maybe lay off the rose for a bit or lock up the phone during the cocktail hour.

There is plenty reason to disparage the school in public, because they don’t listen in private. They have done such a terrible job managing this entire situation, as numerous comments have constructively explained. Parents like you say “trust them” and lap up whatever junk they feed you, because you don’t know any better and because you are so enamored with the concept of sending your kids to the Obamas’ school that you can’t begin to believe that the school might do better or differently. And the school knows that there are so many parents like you out there who will blindly “trust them” that they have no incentive to do anything that might ruffle teachers’ feathers, since the teachers are the ones who really run the school.

I respectfully disagree. You can see threads about how other schools are, or aren't handling COVID. The ones that are mostly in session are drawing complaints from those who prefer to distance; the ones who have barely been in session are drawing complaints from those who want in person. There is no right answer and they have said time and again that their number one priority is the health and safety of the community. Your preference would be the number one value to be in-person, regardless of who gets infected or what that means for them or their familiy. That is fine, but that have been clear and transparent about this from the get go.

The Philadelphia area Quaker schools have done so much better. Why is that, do you think?

There is a very difficult pandemic context. Our school and DL experience is excellent and the school needs the space to create the next possible educational experience for the context. We support everyone’s right to make their decisions accordingly as the situation evolves.

The school priority is safe education, not HL or DL. So I trust them to lead in lieu of a handful of parents who have prejudged the outcome. Please stop disparaging our joint school in public for no reason at all. Enough said.

These same parents never comment in meeting because they are coward Karens. Only in anonymity do they thrive.

The school creates an environment where parent feedback and criticism is actively dismissed and not listened to. Parents who speak up are branded as troublemakers. It is the message that the administration makes clear from Day 1.
