Active involvement and yes. https://georgetowner.com/articles/2017/12/01/timothy-r-cole-new-priest-block/
He also has a son, I wonder where the kid goes to school? I wouldn't be surprised if the son goes to one of the Episcopal day schools in DC. He was also diagnosed with the flu a few weeks ago, don't know if it was clinical or with a test. This case is considered a community transmission.
The other clergy and staff that work closely with him every day also have kids. There's nothing about quarantining any of them. Testing isn't enough. Quarantine plus 2-3 tests and daily temperatures. How can we suck so badly?????????
Does anyone know whether DC (or MD/VA if they live there) is testing the parishioners
Does anyone on here know the age of the reverend's son? Or whether many kids attend services there? Or whether they received communion from him? Does his church host events, preschool coop, chess classes, ESL, etc? Any community events where neighbors and residents would spend time there, and kids would spend time licking doorknobs there, like they do?

Didn't Congress say they already are working from home? Elite take care of themselves first.

We now have 512 cases. This includes 70 cases among Diamond Princess and Wuhan evacuees and cases from the Grand Princess.

There are strains that make determining point of contact easier. The person called Taiwanese American apparently lives in Taiwan and the strain matches Nile cruisers. Taiwan had a tour group to Israel that flew on the same flight as a released Diamond Princess passenger [Israeli ]. https://focustaiwan.tw/society/202003020024
"11-member tour group flew from Taipei to Istanbul on Feb. 27 and then from Istanbul to Tel Aviv on Turkish Airlines flight TK784 early on the morning of Feb. 28.
The Israeli passenger also took flight TK784 on his return to Israel from Japan, after having presumably recovered from his novel coronavirus infection developed on the ill-fated Diamond Princess cruise ship.
He was diagnosed with COVID-19 soon after arriving home, however, and all other people who had been on TK784 were required to leave Israel immediately as a precaution"
Have DC, MD, VA given out flight numbers or TX which has more Nile River cruisers? Every Nile Rver cruiser should be monitored and at a minimum go into self-quarantine.
Agree that they should give out flight numbers out of interest in public health. Lots of people come in contact with passengers from flights and not just other passengers. There are people that work in customs area, wheelchair pushers, various airline employees.
And at Dulles, depending on the time of the day, there can be 5 or 6 flights all coming in at the same time and all standing together in the passport control lines together for sometimes a long time.
I happen to know a couple who was on a Nile rive cruise last week and are now coming back from Europe through Dulles. Refusing to self-quarantine. DW thinks I should call the health department and alert them to their arrival. Would that do anything?
You 100% should call.
I know a couple who was also on a Nile River cruise that arrived back at Dulles 2/29 but live in Richmond. They were not special screened or told to quarantine. Last night they went to a big concert down there. NBD to them. I can't even.

He has no more control over this virus than you do. Most decisions will be made at the state and local levels. I don’t think he’s a good president, but all of the political garbage has got to take a backseat to finding real solutions now.
I wish it were garbage, but it's not. Trump and his administration has tried to downplay and hide the ball on this thing for weeks now. And by doing so he has sown a great deal of distrust and all sorts of misinformation. So nope, won't stop.

I never ever would have thought that trump would have anything to do with an epidemic response, much less be making it worse. But he said “I like the numbers where they are now.” And the head of the CDC adores trump. Disease isn’t inherently political but trump made it so.
