That isn’t true, on the girls side, 2 to 3 players a year move up. On the boy’s, they seem to leave more all at one time. For example, pipeline preacademy 2007 was combined with Pipeline North 2007 two years ago because a bunch of boys moved to da as soon as they were eligible, with pipeline preacademy being the surviving team. There is now another Pipeline 2007 team, but with entirely different player and coach.

on the girls side...BA is filled with substantially more SAC players

2 to 3 players doesnt mean they're the best. 06 boys are a good example of pipeline keeping players instead of encouraging/sending players to join BA. Its a result of how the pipeline coaches and teams are managed.

Yet here you are! Pipeline is part of a partnership with SAC and they already have path to elite soccer via DA via Baltimore Armor. Perhaps you should educate yourself better.

Are you affiliated with Soccerwire in any way? That may explain the issue.

If you are going to make a comment you should have some resemblance of common sense.

The question was whether or not Pipeline is a top team. Any parent of a kid who plays elite soccer will know Pipeline. BA is separate but everyone knows that Pipeline on its own is an elite club producing elite teams that are in the top division of EDP and the top brackets of the most competitive tournaments in VA, MD, and PA.

What part of the previous post was incorrect? None of it. Pipeline is ok as one of the only main options in that region. Let’s not turn them into PDA, as you appear to be attempting. Do Pipeline teams scrimmage BA teams? I’d love to see it.

They do, also DC United, Philly, and I believe Arlington on the boy’s side.

A-ha! The married couple with the anti-DA agenda again. Manipulating threads here is like a business to these two.

Top Club???

Well, yeah. I'm not familiar with the girls side but it's pretty hard to say that Pipeline boys isn't one of the better travel clubs in MD/VA/PA. Their 06 and 04 boys are doing well in national league (well, they were until Covid), 07's are pretty good, I think the 09's are supposed to be good (yeah, I know, little kids soccer), then the other age groups are OK. I think this in large part due to them not sending a lot of kids to Armour, at least in the younger age groups, but still one of the better clubs around. Now if their best players were going to Armour - then they would be a middle of the road club, like Bethesda (non-DA teams), SAC, Arlington (non-DA teams) etc.

Pipeline seems to get the best of both worlds - a DA affiliation without the commitment of many (boys) players to the DA until the later years. Whether this is something the club wants, though, or the parents - who knows. I know if I lived in Baltimore, or points north, I wouldn't want to drive my kid to Ellicott City for practice 4 nights a week.
