“New and replacement MCPS artificial turf projects will feature an organic infill material called clinoptilolite zeolite, which comes from rock sourced in Nevada. This is the same organic, natural infill mix in use at the three newly installed (March 2018) artificial turf playing fields at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Montgomery County, as well as hundreds of other fields around the country.”
Outdated information. MCPS is not using the same infill at Julius West as was used at the SoccerPlex. SoccerPlex is an AstroTurf field, not SpinTurf.
So you are calling MCPS liars for posting wrong info on their website?
AstroTurf? Are you kidding me? AstroTurf hasn’t been used for years. AstroTurf was invented in the 1960s.
More lies!!

Hahaha!!! You’re right on.
Once Julius West field is officially open, we should do a Facebook post and get thousands of people to do a “Storm Rose Hill” similar to the “Storm Area 51”.
Hahaha!!! You are completely wrong! Why don't you do a Facebook post now and get all the neighbors to explain to you their ongoing concerns since you are having trouble caring that anyone has a thought about this.
Their ongoing concerns? Such as being: bitter, desperate, sour, ignorant, crazy. Let me know if I missed anything.

So many over crowded schools and we are taking money from MSI for rubber fields on school grounds? Pretty pathetic.
Wow I hadn’t heard of this. It’s really disturbing.

Wait - Am I reading the same article? There are two major takeaways from this article:
1. "After comparing the cancer rate among the soccer players on Griffin’s list to Washington’s cancer rate among residents of similar ages, they concluded it was actually less than what they expected."
2. "So is there a link between the turf and cancer? Out of more than 100 studies that have been done in the past, no evidence confirms that contact with or ingestion of crumb rubber increases cancer risk, researchers say."
So, what they are saying is that soccer players, playing on turf fields, are less likely to get cancer. Also, more than 100 studies have been done and none show any evidence that turf fields increase cancer risk.

We looked at a house on Rose Hill years ago. So glad we bought in Potomac where the schools are better. Plus the community seems kind of nutty based on this thread.
