In no way am I suggesting the players are bad in this video, I am suggesting the players and their families have been ripped off for close to a decade under the guise of "development" while collecting trophies.
Maybe many of these girls could have truly "developed" somewhere that valued development more than wins at the youngest ages.
I found the free kick shortly after the 30 minute mark very indicative of Loudoun Dad's "development" narrative. The keeper has easy options to play out of the back to and decides to blast the ball long into a crowd of people. Maybe without FCV as a neighbor, Loudoun will teach the players how to actually play the sport instead of kick and chase - said no one ever.

Just watched a good portion of this game and I'm wholly unimpressed with this Loudoun team. Is this typical of other Loudoun teams? Hard to find where they complete more than 2 passes before losing the ball or more likely kicking it down the field. I don't know if they win games or not but geez this is not good soccer.

Not a slight on Loudoun - just a fact. In a few years, if you compare the 07s, 08s, 09s, 10s, etc. across the area and all of those teams are struggling, then you can draw your own conclusion. But until that point, you're just comparing apples to oranges.

So if you're evaluating the older Loudoun teams, then yes, they probably aren't the "best" teams in the area. When Loudoun got ECBL last year, they basically they took their older Red teams at the time, held tryouts, and made them an ECNL team (with perhaps a few additions). So of course those teams will struggle against the established ECNL/DA clubs in the area (that are full of the top/previous Loudoun girls from that age group). Take a look in a few years at the 07, 08, 09s, etc. as they rise into the ECNL and then make a comparison of Loudoun versus the McLeans, the FCVs, etc.

I have seen DA teams that play just as bad.
And... that means what to you? I’m not sure your argument is working to make that ^ appear better.
