Huh. I am nowhere near as thin or fit as MM and I could bend and move just fine until a couple weeks before delivery.

I'm not saying I bent and moved totally fluidly at eight months, but I certainly got stuff done, picked up, worked out, etc. I moved in the third tri and did everything but lift full boxes/furniture.

That last week, though ... oof.

Have you ever been pregnant? Look at all the posts talking about when a woman "pops." It's common to look a lot bigger, almost overnight, when you finally "pop."

But not so common for your bump to drop down to below your hips, out of the blue...

Are you not familiar with the concept of popping in pregnancy? That is, all of a sudden you show, and way more than you did before?

And, once more, with feeling, she is NOT super big! The expectations of what she should look like at this point in her pregnancy are completely bizarre.

I'm further along than her, not even as thin as her, and can bend over just fine into any of the positions that she's doing and routinely do. Shocking, I know. And this is not my first pregnancy, so I've gotten bigger faster. My first pregnancy at 8 or 9 months, a guy came up from behind me and yelled back to me to ask for my number- then he saw the bump and it was a moment. And that time I gained more weight than the recommended amount- it's really just how your body carries it. Post this to the Pregnancy board and I guarantee this is the experience of many women. You guys are insane- find another smoking gun.

12:04 here, agreed. When I was pregnant, I still went to the gym regularly, and still had to also exercise our large-breed, active puppy. Would take him on hour-long, fast-paced walks, scrambling through canyons, etc. Kept me in super shape for almost 41 weeks. Friends even remarked that for most women, you can tell they're pregnant, even from behind when seated. They said I didn't really look pregnant, lol. Bottom line, some women stay active and relatively agile during pregnancy.
