The BRYC U17 team will not end up with 80% of those kids at D1 schools, and certainly not at top D1 schools. Their best player just committed to W&M, and that is the best soccer school anyone on that team will get a soccer scholarship from. As an aside, BRYC's best 02s (and especially 01/02 Class of 2020 players) are not on the U17 team.

Mid-level programs don't just hand out full scholarships either. They are still only 14 scholarships per team and they still need to have 25+ players so the math is straight-forward. Now, will the same high quality player get more from a mid-major than a top program, absolutely. But no matter what level, full athletic scholarships are very uncommon. What does happen is that many of the lower level soccer programs are also less academically challenging, so players will also often qualify for academic scholarships - think Radford, ODU, Longwood, etc.

It’s pretty apparent that she’d want her kid to be in the program she was TD’ing. The bigger question is why can’t FCV seem to keep any females in positions of power on their women’s soccer staff. Especially given there are many talented women, who serve as great role models for these young women, out there.

BRYC has a lot of top recruits in college right now, including the big 10 player of the year & USYNT Player Kaleigh Riehl at Penn State.

Really, like who (besides Riehl) --- I checked the their website, not a lot (if any) of girls at high end top 25 schools right now ---- which is where I would expect to find top recruits. Is their website info inaccurate?

McLean can claim for 2019 a better class before she came over. At the top McLean has a #3 UNC commit. McLean is the better program for her and probably helped her improve her recruitment.
