No the first was my opinion. Then a paragraph break describing my DH and his frustration trying to find intellectuals among the bro dads.


Your DH is not a bro, but genuinely cool guys think he's lame, believe me.

A Bro is quite harmless but insufferably dull. Their world view is limited and they lack wit. They say things like "It's 5 o'clock somewhere!" and laugh a little too hard every time they say it like they just made it up. It's hard to guess their age because of how they dress and because the way they speak is somehow a little off. When you meet a Bro, he is either 35 or 58 - it's really hard to tell.

My favorite is they genuinely haven't yet received the memo that white men and their interests are in fact not[b] the center of the universe. That people really don't give a shit what their opinion is, that it wouldn't kill them to actually be interested in something they didn't think of, that they are in fact not geniuses in soccer because they watch the World Cup. They just never shut up.


lol, this is surprisingly spot on. I'd also add that bro dads have a tough time talking to non-bro dads.

I don't get this odd point of view. Sounds like bro dads are dads that like to stay fit, enjoy good beer and are young at heart. I am 100% that way - love being fit, playing sports and I'm in my mid 40s. Should a dad be a stuffy, dad clothes wearing square?
