So, he dodged. After seeing McElveen on tv, it will not be Stuart. More division. And, to think that McElveen voted for the motion.
Of course, he never met a left cause he didn't love. Hynes and McElveen wrote a letter to the editor the UVA newspaper condemning UVA after the Rolling Stone article came out--but before the retraction. Strong attack. Wonder if they ever retracted it? Doubtful. So, they basically took "fake news" before getting the facts and attacked their alma mater.
I went to high school with Ryan McElveen. He was obnoxious then and I find him no less obnoxious on the SB.
He has two degrees, speaks multiple languages, works for Brookings, travels frequently, and has a cute kid.
Feeling a bit outclassed, perhaps?
No, I'm doing quite well for myself, but thank you. I don't think he's a bad person, of course, and my comment wasn't intended to disparage his personal or professional life. I just happen to find his particular brand of liberalism gratuitous.

Mostly optional expenses. If parents and boosters feel so put out they won't pay. I have a feeling many will happily write a big old check. And they don't have to change the school colors, so unless the "decorations" included a life sized portrait of dear Jeb, I think you're good.
And no, the money theoretically being spent on this was never going to address class size. Your concern trolling is so touching.

Seriously? Sounds like you are not familiar with high school.
Clothing (spirit gear)
Booster clubs---lots of things will need replacing which are purchased with money from booster clubs. Stuart just purchased some items through boosters that were quite expensive. In fact, I think a lot of the turf was paid for by boosters. I understand FCPS is picking up the tab on that.
So, boosters will be hitting up the parents for more. And, some of the booster parents have indicated that, as hard as they have worked for the school, they are not willing to start over.
New booster clubs will have to be formed due to the change in name. Did you watch any of the SB meetings? This was presented. It is a legal issue, I think. Setting up things requires huge amounts of time on the part of parents and there are likely additional expenses with this. New items will have to be purchased, new logos (licensing, etc.) etc.etc.
If colors and logo change that will mean additional changes. New uniforms, costumes, etc. Decorations that are reused every year. Lots of things that you never considered.
And, once more, taxpayer money spent without improvement in learning.
'
SB better be careful when they ask for more money from the taxpayers. Apparently, you think this is more important than classroom size. Millions won't solve that totally, but it certainly would help.
