Because they have contracts with cable companies to provide their channel. If they offered them up for free on the web site, people wouldn't need to pay for cable.
They used to be free to watch which is why I asked. I used to watch the entire season on mtv.com.

Anybody know anything about Cole? Is he too good to be true for Chelsea?
I think Cole is lovely. I hope he and Chelsea stick.
Cole seems like a good guy and he and Chelsea seem stable -- no obvious fighting; no drug use; seems to be a relatively normal day to day life. Which is good for Aubrey. I believe Cole is an engineer or something similar for the South Dakota Department of Transport/Highways. So he seems to be educated with a decent job, and I've never gotten the sense that he wants or needs to be on TV, unlike a lot of other boyfriends on this franchise who need the TV fame in order to avoid a crappy job.
Poor Chelsea--her storyline is a snooze fest now. She's never even been arrested!

You're welcome! Until this I had no idea that the dads were making this much money. They are filmed much, much less than the moms.
Jenelle is a full-on sociopath and watching her try to parent her baby is the most depressing thing ever. It's worse than Leah, who with all her problems at least loves her kids.
