You don't need to be scared. But try Match or a site that is geared towards your religious desire and stay local. Meet someone in RI. Have a coffee, if they seem normal, have a dinner.
Ask questions. What do they do, where do they work, what interests them.

Seek out a normal partner with a steady job. Higher education, lives in your area - meaning in your state and within 30 minutes drive so you can met, share time, get to know each other and make sure no red flags go of.

On line dating can open you to a lot of people you might not meet, but you have to do the hard work and weed through the loosers.

If you're going to meet someone online, I think it's okay if it's a local person and you can actually verify the stuff you're being told and can get to know him through regular meetings in person. I think you need to stop any LDR. But yeah it's best to just meet people through common interests or common friends IN PERSON.

These threads have been so epic that I think we need to set up a gofund me page. We can raise some DCUM funds and then hire a NY state private investgator.

We can get the real deal on where SV lives. Pictures of the cabin. What farms he works for. He can get his truck tag number and run that to get a DMV record so we can see all sorts of fun stuff I bet is in his traffic history. Background checks. Then I bet the really good stuff would surface.

OP I wish we had a name for you - just a made up name. I feel like so many of us are invested in you now and we all wish we could sit around and rehash this together!
