Actually, I would have agreed with this when I was 24, either (yes, I'm an older mom now). I also wouldn't have hesitated to tell my friend what I thought about such an arrangement - even if it pissed her off, even if it meant that I lost her friendship for a while.

Nobody is really going to sympathize with the Op. At best, she's a foolish young woman who is wasting her youth and behaving way beneath herself. At worst, she's a conniving home wrecker who doesn't care who she hurts as long as she is kept comfortable. And, of course, there is always the possibility that this whole thing is completely made up BS.

I agree with this. It's "ask me anything" not "I will answer every rude question you can come up with!"

The "tough" questions are mostly "How can you live with yourself, you miserable slut!" and variations on "You are young and stupid and will regret all this later".

She answered a couple of those, but what's the point? Either she's young and stupid and will regret it later, in which case she's hardly going to have some awakening because of the 10th "How can you live with yourself, you miserable slut!" poster or else she will feel exactly the same way about her decisions later.

In any case, unless you are a woman who has kids ages 3 and 4 who is married to a man who testifies in court about mental illness, has written two books and goes on tours for them, who stays home and doesn't know anything about her family's finances, it's nothing to you what the OP does or does not do.

Of course she did. It's not any more loaded than some of the other AMAs that people have posted. My point was that the outraged responses are hardly going to change the OP's behavior and getting pissed when she doesn't respond directly to everyone calling her names or telling her that she's morally bankrupt or whatever else is a waste of your time, unless you're married to this man, in which case you should save your outrage for him.

ok I am going to give my summary of this. i know this stuff happens but i think the OP is fake.

the kids ages and when they met don't add up.
the fact that a guy who is discreet is out meeting her friends
the fact that her fmaily has no interest in her well being

There are reasonable questions that require a little introspection to help us understand her thoughts or motivation. She's only answering ones that deal superficially with people, places, or things.
