Ghost in this House, Allison Krauss

Song by Alison Krauss

I don't pick up the mail
I don't pick up the phone
I don't answer the door
I just soon be alone
I don't keep this place up
I just keep the lights down
I don't live in these rooms
I just rattled around

I'm just a ghost in this house
I'm just a shadow upon these walls
As quietly as a mouse
I haunt these halls
I'm just a whisper of smoke
I'm all that's left of two hearts on fire
That once burned out of control
You took my body and soul
I'm just a ghost in this house

I don't care if it rains
I don't care if it's clear
I don't mind stayin' near
There's another ghost here
He sits down in your chair
And he shines with your light
And he lays down his head
On your pillow at night

Long Black Veil

"She walks these hills in a long black veil
She visits my grave where the night winds wail
Nobody knows, no, and nobody sees
Nobody knows but me"

Can't read through this whole list, but If I Saw You in Heaven by Eric Clapton is just the saddest thing ever -- its about his toddler son that died, falling out an apartment building window.
Clapton is one of the greats, so everything he does is gold, so when he does a sad song, it is so, so sad.

Sweet Jane by the Cowboy Junkies. Reminds me of my sister, who died a few years ago. RIP. Someday we will be together again.

Hallelujah. It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah.

Zac Brown Band - Bittersweet. Had to pull over at a rest stop the first time I heard it because I was sobbing so hard.

I felt almost that bad the first time I heard Dirty Blvd. by Lou Reed. Driving through downtown Baltimore with tears streaming down my face.

Yes, I mentioned it several pages back a while ago. Yes, her voice is so sad.
