Why do you need to mention the name of your kids school so much and so loudly? I will be across the playground and hear them chattering Potomac this, Potomac that. This happens all the time. And I constantly see adults wearing Potomac hats and clothing.
We never hear little Langley parents or parents from the local publics doing this. I used to live in DC near AU and never heard people out living their lives talking about the Cathedral schools. I have many friends with kids at Holton, Landon, Prep, Gonzaga, Sidwell, STA, GDS, etc. and literally never seen an adult wearing any form of clothing for one of those schools.
So long way of asking .... what is wrong with these parents? Do they have nothing better going on in their lives? It has certainly turned me off from ever applying my kids.
Sounds a lot like most parents in most private schools.
I'm a NP and have kids in 2 area private schools, and I do have to agree that the Potomac parents somehow hit different. We were talking about this at a recent sporting event at one of my kids' school. I can't even put a finger on it. It's just immediately apparent what school the Potomac parents are with when they show up, even if they aren't wearing any Potomac gear.
You people are all so full of sh*t. Get a life. Seriously.

They also feel like they are too good for the excellent publics in the area. Potomac Parents need to remember, their kids were rejected from other schools and they were too lazy to drive further for something better. Have fun on the bus kids.
Please name some of these excellent public schools that come close to any of the selective private schools in the area.

Insecure Sidwell parent. Again.

The Potomac parents in this thread will act defensively in response to this statement, proving my point.
Upper crust? ROFLMAO. Sidwell is famous for being socio-economically inclusive. Potomac is way snobbier (and i mean that in a bad way) than Sidwell, NCS/STA/GDA
I feel like you would really fit in with some of the parents at Potomac talking about upper crust. Pfft.
Insecure Sidwell parent chimes in, as usual.
I’m a Sidwell parent, but jeez, some of these parents really can’t handle anything remotely negative being said about Sidwell.
