This is why they invented golf.

They need an activity and food while the bridal party gets ready. They do not all need to get ready together, the groom needs a place to get ready and they need a place to gather once they are fed and ready.

I would be fine with DH hosting this while I got myself and kids ready.

We are supposed to believe that the men aren't local, stayed somewhere else the previous night, maybe a hotel, and then will probably be checking into a hotel after the wedding? It makes very little sense!

It’s unspecified to us. Presumably OP knows what time the wedding is.

I am not a fan of my BIL and I would even say yes to this one.

DH only has one brother and he knows most or all of the groomsmen even though I, the SIL, don’t know them.

I don't think you have to be a family hater not to want to host 6 men in your house when you're yourself trying to get ready for a wedding, and getting your young kids ready -- which is also on you not DH. I can imagine mom running around in her bra trying to grab something and you obviously cannot do that with a bunch of men sitting in your living room/your kids room/your bathroom or all of them. Then the kids might run around in their underwear before being stuffed into party clothes and you need to feed them etc. etc.... who needs all that drama! Have you never gotten your family ready for a fancy outing?!

We stopped hosting after guest broke the bed in the room and didn't say a word to us.
