People are reporting misinformation. The address listed on the arrest record is for the Wootton catchment in Rockville (specifically Fallsmead).

Yes, we do. A good officer could shoot the shooter. There are plenty of situations where they do step in and resolve it. The two you are choosing are the worst but there are many times SRO's save lives. Some schools have an officer sitting outside a lot of time. Ours do.

When well done SROs make a difference. They don’t just sit on a chair. They engage with the kids, they get to know them, the counsel and advise many of them. They know the troublemakers and can engage and intervene before stuff like this happens. Given that the counselors are busy doing college recommendations and class schedules and very little “counseling” it’s helpful to have another person there to help the kids.

There are two different juvenile arrest records one listing a Rockville address and one listing a DC address. Did they arrest two kids or are these two separate events?

They are two separate juveniles and two separate incidents. The person involved in the Wootton shooting lives in the Wootton catchment area.

By comparision I went to school in the Bronx in the 1970s. There were no buses, no parents did drop off pick up, we all walked on our own.

We would have done school as usual. There was no reason after the person left and ambo picked up kid to do anything. I know that as at least three times it happened. Once in lunch room and we kept eating lunch!

But W schools have this myth they are safe. The world is not safe.
