1. Trump doesn’t want to occupy Greenland, he wants to own it.
2. Europe is in a precarious position of needing the USA support in Ukraine, but defending against the USA to retain Greenland. Both allies and enemies.
3. I wish we could have uk or Denmark take over part of USA, so we could have peace. Incidentally, the Virgin Islands would revert back to Denmark if Greenland treaty is violated. Maybe I move there.

A warning has now been put on the record by the U.S. Congress.

If any member of the U.S. military, from generals to lower ranks, participates in the use of force against Greenland without authorisation from Congress, they would be following illegal orders.

That warning was issued by Ted Lieu, citing the constitutional requirement that Congress authorise the use of military force.

It will require our military budget to increase by 3-4 times just to maybe maintain what we have now.

No more wars and drive by bombing for republicans.
Sounds like you are in favor, no more wars are possible if the bases are closed. Win-Win, and all these other countries fend/defend for themselves. I like it.

There would still be wars, we just couldn’t project force as well. Who needs international conflict when you can attack your own people like a two bit dictator?

I don’t think the US is going to do anything, maybe send an expeditionary force to camp out for a while, ok. That place is still a frozen tundra, global warming is a hoax. Whatever, the US does, the Europeans won’t do sh*t other than flop on the ground like a soccer player. That’s their game. NATO needs the US, not other way around.
