It's not just the governments. Its the radicalized people. As much as I feel like this war is hurting both the US and Israel to do terrible things and become terrible people, the Palestinians already decided to become radicalized with Hamas. Working with them is like asking people to work with our maximum security prisoners as regular people and their children whom they radicalize. Obviously the other arab nations could take in the Palestinians and they don't want to because they know they'd be a cancer on their nations as well. What do you do with an entire country that is radicalized? I don't know.

Is Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen risking his political career?

He's calling out Israel for ethnic cleansing of Gaza and being called antisemitic. AIPAC isn't going to be very happy with him

There's a lot of propaganda, misinformation and deliberate lies that comes from the side of the colonizer/occupier/genocider in order to justify their own Holocaust. It's all over this thread just as it is in the media and elsewhere.

Ethnic Cleansing of Palestine, Ten Myths About Israel, and The Biggest Prison on Earth: A History of Gaza and the Occupied Territories are all excellently researched books that are both shocking and illuminating.

Some other books I would add to the list
The Hundred Years' War on Palestine by Rashid Khalidi
Anything by Norman Finkelstein
Genocide Bad by Sim Kern
On Palestine by Noam Chomsky

Some of the best books on the topic are written by Jewish/Israeli authors.

Fertility rate in Gaza is 3.6 - 7.0 children per childbearing aged woman, each of the last 30 years.

Makes no sense to have non-stop kids in poverty, no job, region run by religious terrorists.
What’s going on?

The poorest countries of the world also have the highest fertility rates. It’s always been the case.

Contraception and abortion are usually restricted by "authorities", in Gaza case - Hamas.

Women have zero rights in Palestine. Their role is to pop out babies.

That sounds more like the Jewish settlers who don’t think women should learn to read or leave the house, just make babies.

The percentage of educated women is one of the highest in the world with Palestinians.

No snark but can they not be lawyers or doctors? There’s a lot of video footage from Palestine over the past two years, obviously, and the doctors are always always always men. And only men appear to be in positions of power, prestige, etc. What gives?

Citation? What’s the education level attained? And of the women with 4-7 children each and where are they employed?

It’s common for the Gazan men to have multiple wives. Many have 20 children from the numerous wives.

Even better — just read the Koran to see what they really think of outsiders and women. And what they’re “allowed” to do to them under Allah and Mohammed in the name of Islam.

Then read the Old Testament and the other Jewish holy texts to see what they really think of outsiders and women and actually anyone who doesn’t capitulate to their demands.

Well, Netanyahu did invoke Amalek on the Palestinians

".. and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and donkey"

It's why genocidal intent was not difficult to prove at the ICJ.

Power hungry governments are the root of 99% of our global conflicts. 95% of the Jewish and Palestinian people living in the ME are loving and decent people who are capable of living alongside people who don't share the same religious or cultural views (I pray this is true). The rest are murderous monsters and unfortunately, far too many of the murderous monsters are in positions of power.

Call it what you want. What we know for sure is that there are way too many blood thirsty Jews and Palestinians in that region of the ME. It's disgusting to see these endless cycles of death and destruction caused by the same groups of people over and over and over.

Very tired of this uneducated response. It is 2025. Wake up please.

The US taxpayer is providing BILLIONS in taxpayer funding to Israel every year. If we can stop doing that then the Israelli made wars will have to stop and they will have to learn to play nice with their neighbors. We wlll have a safe world.

Many of us are tired of the US being a vassal state and treasury for Israel.

How absurd and myopic. Israel didn’t start October 7 and the world wouldn’t become “safe” if this conflict ended. Do you think the whole world revolves around this one conflict??

You are right. Israel didn’t start this on Oct 7th. It started this in 1948.

Israel’s enemies lost then and Hamas will lose now.

Israel hasn’t won a war since the 60s. The 1973 Yom Kippur war with Egypt was not a win for them in retrospect. It put them on the track to being a military client state of the US, and that war is also why they wanted the Camp David accords to negotiate peace with Egypt. Israel only offers peace if they’re scared by a neighboring giant. They set up the bad example for Hamas by doing that. Hamas has roots in Egypt as well. The Muslim brotherhood is the parent group of Hamas not Iran despite what Israel may say. The Mt Sinai Peninsula was given up by Israel and is fully part of Egypt. Israel has not even considered annexing it again despite its recognizable Jewish history nor have they annexed it to take control of Hamas supply chains but Israel still controls the Golan heights in Syria. It’s highly unusual and strange that Israel is so gun shy about Egypt 50 years later all thanks to a amateur surprise attack on 10/7/73

Also they’ve been “starving” since this all began.

Israel may not be killing us but they sure don’t help us either. Their intelligence agencies knew 9/11 and the 1982 Beirut bombings of the Marines were going to happen. And they didn’t tell their friend because it helped their political goal. Then; there’s the JFK situation. Their role is becoming ever more clear in that.

It was not the Cubans, KBG, or the Mafia involved. Mossad was

Don't forget the USS liberty.

But not helping us is an incredibly massive understatement. We've been fighting their wars for decades costing us countless lives and trillions of dollars.

Netanyahu wrote a book called Fighting Terror in 1996 with a list of countries that needed to have regime changes: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and lastly Iran. We've done every one at their behest except Iran which he is now desperately pushing for at the moment.

Every single US President, across parties, since Clinton has hated him. Let’s all recall Hamas is who Netanyahu has to thank for winning the election at all. He was not even in the lead until Hamas terror attacks in 1996 led to his surprise victory. He’s helped them ever since his return in 2009. He’s ignored all help including from Jordan, other Palestinian politicos, or Egyptians to fight or get rid of Hamas. He owes Hamas his presidency for life.

Both Netanyahu and Hamas were in danger of getting kicked out in the summer of 2023 by their own respective peoples because of the 2023 anti government mass demonstrations in Israel and the Gaza Strip (occuring simultaneously against Hamas and Netanyahu with the claim of corruption) . How interesting 10/7 happened a month after these protests occured. Netanyahu and Hamas were on the slippery slope to permanent dismissal or ousting right before 10/7
