They're not suspects. She is an adult who did adult things alone. It's not cool that they did not stay together but that is not a crime.
If you are concerned getting swept up in an investigation and you are not a us citizen but live in the us, you may not want to get involved. It's wild that there are green card holders in the US doing all these things overseas and in the US.
