Laid-off IRS employee said he had voted for Trump: "I thought that someone with his business acumen would have come in with a fine-tooth comb and actually found it instead of coming in with a wrecking ball and destroying people’s lives for no reason."
So this IRS guy had never read the stuff about the tax dodges the Trump organization was known for, or the fact that before firing the Trump organization as a client they took pains to state that they could not vouch for the legitimacy of valuations of assets?

I guess McCabe used a reality show definition of “business acumen” rather than actual real stuff like bankruptcies and deliberately failing to pay contractors — wrecking businesses and destroying people’s lives.

Not the whiney it wasn't supposed to happen to me, but to that other guy.![]()
That brings me back to the classic Trump voting Fed but now f#cked quote during the longest government shutdown in history:
“I voted for him, and he’s the one who’s doing this,” she said of Mr. Trump. “I thought he was going to do good things. He’s not hurting the people he needs to be hurting.”

There is another thread on this topic, but if we're collecting them here I thought it should be added.
Jesse Waters, Republican, has a friend who was DOGEd (apparently they're using it as a verb over at Fox) and now he says it's time to be less callous because this Veteran wasn't a DEI hire (but was he?) or someone working on a climate initiative.

Whelp, now he’s on the list of FBI agents Trump requested and he’s freaking out. Suddenly it’s “they broke the law! I was doing my job!”
4 years away from retirement, too. Bye bye pension. So sad.

The man’s wife said they also believed his 13 years of military service in the Navy and Air Force Reserves, with an honorable discharge as an E-4, would have offered him more protection against DOGE cuts.

Are we supposed to feel bad for him? It’s obvious he thinks he’s special and is looking for special treatment. Good thing he kept himself anonymous or he might never work again with that attitude.
No more special than the thousands of other feds wrongfully terminated.
Of course he was special. He was a Trump voter and expected to be rewarded for his loyalty.
This is quickly going to turn into a McKinley situation- just watch

Lutherans aren’t evangelicals, but I’ll happily accept this development. We can get the crisis pregnancy centers, Catholic hospitals providing substandard maternity care, and the Christian madrassas off the public teat, too.
They are indeed evangelicals. Educate yourself.
