Subject: So ECNL announcements are leaking out
PDA South has been a farce in Southern NJ for years. PDA North (Blue) simply and politically got the South into ECNL in 2019 because they had clout in the league. South has been at the bottom of every age group for the past 5 years. Now with REAL FC (GA) cemented there will be an exodus of their top players from PDA South to REAL. PDA as a whole is crooked and icky across the board, from leadership, coaching, college coach conflict, events etc. They love "blocking" other clubs from whatever it is they believe is valuable and can make them money, garner accolades and poach players from other NJ clubs....

3 years =3 different teams = 3 different uniforms families have to buy...that sucks
ha - these parents are paying the same amount as college tuition over their kids' youth soccer career, so they can ... get a scholarship and not have to pay double? I guess? Hence the pressure on kids, even ones who might not even be that interested in playing college.
Long way of saying, these folks don't care about the math. In fact, they actively avoid doing it, so they can keep up their delusions.
ummm college is 90k a year. Even if youth soccer came to 90k that is just one year.
Or, stick with me here. The logic will be tough for you. The kids like playing soccer and are good. So the parents pay for soccer because the kids like it and it is good for the kids to play sports at a top level. If college comes from it great, but the value is in the experience. I know this is news for you. Paying to help your kids have happy, healthy and positive, meaningful, life changing experiences might be good for them. Mock us, who think high level youth sports are valuable. Seems like this is not your thing, you do you. We can compare who has well rounded kids, who can handle the trials life throw at them later. My bet, you lose. Keep mocking those trying hard to help their kids. That is a good look.
Stick with me here I am PP. I agree with you. I was making the point that even if it cost 90k it was still a deal. I am fully on your side. You took offense when none was intended. No one was mocking you. In fact I was mocking the people who I was responding to. The argument that one spends a lot on kid's sports is dumb.

Very disappointing, we are no longer going to try out for PDA south now due to the loss of the ECNL badgeand will try out for another club in the area
