Once the hiring freeze is lifted, I’m going to apply for a BU job. I need a break from being a supervisor. I’m sure those jobs will be very competitive but I’ll just keep applying until something comes through.

So as of end of day Friday there’s no info and then people fire up their computers Monday and are told “get to your office now”? I’m a big fan of RTO but this scenario sounds crazy.

Labor got word at like 5 pm that we are RTO on Feb 9th. But we’ve been back for like a year with 3 telework days a pay period. Guess those are gone?

Labor isn’t a group or term used at the Fed. Nice try.

Correct. Regular telework is no longer. At most its situational moving forward.

I think so

Choosing not to offer one weekly telework day is just dumb. Can’t see the case for gov over the private sector anymore—unless your goal is just to collect a paycheck while doing ten hours of actual work each week. This is going to drive out the high performers.

Agreed. I think we are going to lose alot of talented people and not many will want those jobs. Probably the whole point of this anyways.

I am a staff attorney and I feel really bad for you guys. I hope they allow you guys some flexibility in the future. We need good managers and it is hard enough to fill the branch chief jobs in my division this will make it even worse. Also, there's no business need to not give you guys any flexibility.
