Also, I was taught to live in mortal fear of quicksand, that it was everywhere, and I needed to be vigilant at all times. Where'd it all go?

Right, and they send him off to a friend's house with no concern about these supposed kidnappers? If they believe that because of John's business someone has literally kidnapped their child and threatened to execute them ... I would think they'd want their eye on the other kid.
Burke being sent away is why I think he had zero involvement. If he killed his sister accidentally or otherwise , and the parents wanted to cover for him, it seems like the last thing they'd do is send him off somewhere and trust that he wouldn't spill any sort of beans. He was only 9.
Exact same.
Anything he said at the friends house would be hearsay. Anything he said to police in the Ramsey home would be evidence. John and Patsy could easily buy out the friends to keep quiet. In fact, they did lose many friends in Boulder.

I just watched the first episode and it doesn’t add up. Her wrists were not lightly bound; but very tight. Those neck wounds from the garret (which took quite a bit of skill). She was alive when the garter was made (her hair was caught in it) and the neck torture occurred at about the same time as the head trauma. The autopsy tells a story of torture, not an accidental wack on the head after she stole a piece of Burke’s pineapple or a “cover up.” Patsy comes across as a complete liar and the Fad comes across as innocent-ish. Burke is clearly autistic but that doesn’t make him a psychopath. I would pick Patsy if it wasn’t for the sexual assault with the paintbrush. It had to be the Dad.
And the fact that the police got the DNA results that exonerated all three Ramseys and suppressed that? That DNA was found under her fingernails and on her underwear that belonged to an unidentified male? And that Boulder police planted stories with friendly reporters that were fake implying the Ramseys did it?
Do you have more info about the DNA? I had read that it was “touch DNA” that could have been from whoever manufactured the underwear, and that it was not enough to make the police think anyone else had really touched her body

Similarly, what was Solange so mad about on that elevator? It's pretty clear it's about Jay cheating, but was it related to Rachel Roy directly? Something else?
Also, I know the hive will come for me, but is Beyonce an automaton or what? It seems like she's completely devoid of personality anymore. That doc from a few years ago was just bizarre. Any theories there?
Beyonce has always been a performer, she was essentially a child star pushed by her parents. She didn’t have a typical childhood. Child/teen entertainers have a weird combination of being super sheltered from some typical teen stuff, and also exposed to way too much. Jay-Z has been her only adult romantic relationship her whole life and I do believe there was some degree of grooming going on there even if she was technically a legal adult. She’s definitely seen some s*** throughout the years and seems to process it by just staying quiet and only putting forward her public persona. Kind of reminds me of the K-Pop stars in a way. You won’t catch them being messy on Twitter and they only give perfect politician answers in interviews.

Burke was only 9. He was not a teenager.
I do not think it was anyone in the family, though they were a weird family. Again, I think it was someone close to them, probably the guy who dressed up as Santa (who is dead now.)

Well there is no denying patsy wrote the letter. The letter is the key. So…?
Watch the Netflix series. So many “facts” were leaked by Boulder police that were dead false, including that Patsy wrote the note. I’m on the second episode. Everything I thought I knew about the case is wrong. 4 handwriting experts (including one from the FBI) said she didn’t write it. No footprints in the snow! Because there was no snow in back where the window was broken. Biggest of all: The police suppressed the DNA evidence that excluded the family and ID’d an unknown male—on her underpants. Plus her pediatrician said there was zero physical evidence of any prior sexual abuse.
