Kamala’s most memorable debate line was calling Joe a racist.

She need some good messages though; this election is not all about abortion. The border is a huge issue, and her role as border czar will dog her. Ds no longer have a strong message on saving democracy given all that has transpired in the last week.
This board is hilarious. I haven’t been here in a while and forgot all about the nonsense trolls.
Then I guess you missed all the posters here who are angry and disappointed that the Democrats and media covered up Biden's condition, that the DNC manipulated the primary process to ensure only Biden would get the nomination, and that they have no idea who is making decisions in the White House. If DCUM is enraged about this you can bet people in swing states are too.
All of this means that Democrats presenting themselves as saviors of democracy will not play as well as it otherwise might have.
People can see the GOP’s fascism and those who are more thoughtful are wondering why in the heck the media hasn’t touched on:
the Supreme Court upending all precedent
Trump and Putin hanging out together for days
Trump lying like a crazy person
Trump being outed officially as a pedophile
Project 2025
Trump vowing revenge, including military tribunals
Etc.

The Democratic Party would be incredibly energized by a different candidate.

I was a dyed in the wool Biden supporter until the debate. That was not a one-off debacle. His voice trembled and was hardly above whisper and he had a "deer in the headlights" response many times. He needs to finish out this term, endorse Harris and give his delegates to her. I pray that Pelosi, Jeffries, Schumer, Obama make it clear to the Bidens that it his duty to bow out
Harris, as the former AG Of California will do extremely well on taking on Trump. I would hope that she chooses a moderate (Democrat or Republican) as her running mate. She was an effective campaigner in CA and she has the energy to campaign in every state and win votes.
A little reminder that in her run for president, she had to drop out because her campaign was a mess, she ran out of money, and received no votes.
And, her stint as VP has not helped her any.

Harris has a lot of weak points, but she'd wipe the floor with Trump in the second debate (is there one scheduled?)
Pete B?
Gavin N?
Who has a national profile?
Jamie Raskin?
I don't see any clear choices here.
The objective is to beat Trump.
Who will bring out the young Democrats who are so angry at Biden for Gaza?
Beating Trump is the goal. Nothing else matters.

It’s helped her a lot actually. And she will have everyone behind her. Let’s go.
More everyone would be behind a candidate that people liked instead of tolerated. Just saying.

She has Trump deep-sixing the bipartisan immigration legislation because he wanted it as a campaign issue!
