I was gonna say, how EXACTLY did they segue into asking? That takes some chutzpah. "Even though you're not coming, you wouldn't mind if we went up there anyways, would you?" Uhhh, actually I would mind.
+1. Geesus.
I'm the OP. It went something like, "what's going on at the lake this weekend? I know you won't be there but I really miss (insert bar name here) and the quiet of being at the lake."
DH (after talking it over with me) : I think we've had inquiries to rent it.
I guarantee they believe you're lying about it maybe being booked and they're talking s*** about you for not allowing them to go.
Is that supposed to make OP feel bad?
Like how entitled can one be?
Anonymous wrote:OP, this is the fourth grifter thread I have read today. I hope they are not all you, that would be terribly sad for a grown adult to be expecting so many handouts.

These are people who have been to the home before. They know where things are. You've seen them use your stuff. You're not losing money, the place is empty. Why wouldn't you say yes?

Just a wild guess here but maybe that type of person has proven themselves untrustworthy.
