What did the husband do for a living? Appears from the house and the au pair and everything else they were well off enough. Did Christine work?
Husband is/was FBI, Christine was a nurse. Seems like lifestyle would be a stretch on one income. Don't think he came from $, not sure about her. Even on fed/nurse income seems a bit of a stretch, but little girl started school this year so childcare costs almost over.
Not especially well off for this area, middle class. AP may have worked best for child care due to shift work.

Why would BB have returned (if the whole plan was for him to be out of the house on purpose)? Why would she have originally called 911? What happened in the extra 15 minutes?
We know from the presser that AP shot JR and BB wasn't even home when it happened. If that was the plan, what went wrong that he decided to cover for her? Like if the whole idea was that he would be out of the house at the time, then obviously him shooting JR was not the story they planned to tell. So why did they? I think figuring that out will be the crucial detail to how it all went down. Could they have waited the extra 15 minutes because they suddenly realized the wife wasn't dead?
Thinking you can pin a stabbing on someone else honestly doesn't seem like a mistake a LE would make. But who knows?
Is there any chance this really was all AP? She did this all w/o BB knowing in advance? She's originally going to call the cops to report she shot JR in defense of CB and BB arrives, flips out because there's no way cops we'll believe JR stabbed CB based on the scene, and then spends the 15 minutes trying to make it look like JR stabbed CB/he killed CB/AP just happens to be there?
Another poster said that there is a lot of forensic work going into the data collection from phones and computers. The husband gives me the vibe of a guy who thinks he is the smartest guy in the room. I think he tried to plant messages to make it seem like his wife was afraid of JR, which would give JR motive for killing her, and reason for him to rush home as an excuse.
I think it was meant to appear that he was rushing in as a hero to save the day.

“According to a police statement obtained by PEOPLE, Christine
Banfield's husband then got on the phone and said he had shot a man and stabbed a woman. But at the time, police didn't make any arrests.”
Could this be a careless typo?
Seems like a typo of such great significance that it would have been caught. I guess it could have been “shot a man who stabbed a woman”. That would fit with the statements in other articles.

Was was an IRS investigator and then FBI. Christine was a nurse. Neither making big bucks so a huge house, au pair and Tesla aren’t adding up.
Smart money says he won't be working for the FBI much longer.
Is he still?
Don't know. It would be very surprising if he wasn't placed on a leave of absence at a minimum.

How do you figure that?
I think they’re insinuating that we all thought it was BB not the AP.
