Do you have children attending both schools? Also, assuming you are correct with your assertion, maybe Bullis is teaching the children more efficiently? Look at the colleges...

I'm guessing many applied TO (or are there a ton going to MIT?) and because the grading is easier at Bullis they have high GPAs... That would explain a lot. I wonder how many will fare well once in demanding colleges?

This is where Bullis grads are going to college. Many of the the Colleges are the best in the country/world.

Is Bullis the new Sidwell prestige-wise?

Bullís is flattered by the comparison, I’m sure. Sidwell is probably deeply offended.

similar college matriculations...

I’m sure that’s what the Bullis parent who started this thread wants you to think. Based on logic, common sense, and the matriculation lists posted above, that’s just not true.

For example, over a period of FOUR years (2020 to 2023), Sidwell sent at least 4 students to every Ivy plus Stanford. In contrast, over a period of FIVE years (2019 to 2023), Bullis sent at least 4 students to only Cornell, Penn, Harvard, Yale and Stanford.

But aren't the most recent years the most important? 2020 for ex?

*2023

Threads like this remind me of how other colleges are constantly comparing themselves to Harvard (We’re the Harvard or the South, Harvard of the west coast, etc..).

Other high schools/parents are constantly comparing themselves to Sidwell. So, Bullis can be the Sidwell of MoCo. Are y’all happy now?

We've also heard about Bullis's grade inflation. The kids are given A's to ensure everyone has a high GPA, but many kids are not truly prepared when they go to college. I heard this from private consultants when looking at private schools, and from some Bullis parents, we've met. If the parents and kids are happy, who cares, right?

Where is the final matriculation list?

Here is last year's (class of 2023) official college matriculation list from Bullis:

Let's see this year's list when it is published. Heard that last year was a stellar year, as it was for many schools.

No, but 101/125 2023 Sidwell grads have posted their college destinations. That should be good enough for now.

That is not the same as the school being transparent.

You’re right. It’s better because the STUDENTS are being transparent.
No PR machine to attempt to manage/manipulate the message.
