Why would you infer he asked? It is likely she prof asked all of her sections. I doubt the prof simply pulled this one boy aside in her class and asked him to come.

You don't need that for premeditation. This doesn't appear to be an accident, or heat of the moment. Premeditation can be seconds before. Him bringing the gun on the field trip is enough.

They were notified only 2 weeks ahead of the shooting. Do you know the admin process behind dismissing/Ex matriculation? Next time they will get sued for doing it too hasty. What is the appropriate time and process to take place? These were off campus charges.

I completely get it on the emotional level (right there with you), but you do not want your judicial system to judge on emotions. You got to proof negligence to dismiss timely in light of what level of threat. This sounds cold I get it and one can advocate for changes made in light of this tragedy.

My son has a mentally disturbed roommate and the college will not remove him. Scary stuff.

I am guessing he developed schizophrenia. I read something about the dad saying he was really worried about something. His level of paranoia seems unmatched to reality. Maybe the football players he killed were harassing him but that just does not match at all with what people are saying about these young men.

I thought that’s what the article said, that the prof invited her other classes.

NP here. The only thing I found unsettling about that tweet was there was an upperclassman who didn't have anyone to room with him so he was being matched by the school. If he had been there since 2018 you'd think he would have known someone to have as a roommate or live in an apartment or group house. It sounds like his fall semester roommate wasn't even planning on living with him for next semester.

I can't find it but I read it on twitter Monday. A woman had said her brother who was studying abroad this semester had been matched to be roommates for next semester on campus with the shooter. So this means the shooter didn't have anyone to room with. We don't know why, but this stood out to me.

It’s not a “very weird coincidence” and the prof is a she, not a he. The shooter was in another one of the prof’s classes. No coincidence at all. Not everyone on the trip was in the class.

I believe he was in another class of hers and was invited to go. I think the field trip was open to any student who wanted to go.
