Every truck drive I know hates making deliveries in DC. The streets are narrow and hard to navigate plus some of the bridges are too low to pass under.


This convoy is totally going to get trapped somewhere. It’s going to be a f#cking mess.

Every truck drive I know hates making deliveries in DC. The streets are narrow and hard to navigate plus some of the bridges are too low to pass under.

It's the same mission as Fox News: stoke white grievance against the fact that the longtime white majority in this country is on track to become a minority population. There is a reason that the boogeyman of the day is four junior members of the House of Representatives who are all minorities and women.


PP ^^ "Growing irrelevance" is the wrong term. Lack of dominance is more accurate.

Covid quarantines vary. To drive a truck into Canada, for example, all the trucker has to do is isolate for 14 days in a hotel room at the border.

Why can’t a trucker just wait 14 days and pay for 14 nights in a hotel?

There are other Covid restrictions which affect truckers - but apparently no one listened to the truckers at all (until now).


Because time is money. They would lose two weeks worth of trips, and what about whatever they are supposed to be delivering?
