Give it a rest.
Yup. Everyone made it on time but her. But she should not have needed to make it on time. She should have been there already. It should have been her first instinct to get to the school as soon as possible. He’ll, even the DA was there immediately.
She has a kid in PG virtual learning, and was working from home in PG county. I suppose she had to scramble for childcare?![]()

That said why they announced it would be at 445 in freezing temps and and then waited an hour + for her (and really everyone who spoke) to provide very little new information is beyond me.

Cameras? They are everywhere. If they had smart cameras with accompanying AI software, it would be able to trace the steps of the killer. I bet they do not have smart cameras or very limited capability cameras.
That is considered authoritarian. Not going to happen in a free society.
It's not going to happen because of money not because of perception regarding whether it could be considered authoritarian. Do you really think there is no AI software working on the back end of those red light cameras to identify license plates, whether you came to a full stop when turning on red, etc.?
Yes, it's a cost issue.
MCPS spends millions every year on lawyers to fend off lawsuits, and millions on PR for central admin stuff, but they're too poor for cameras.
It is a political issue. Which public school in the US has AI-powered cameras monitoring students?

He wasn't unconscious.

So. MCPS has a very outdated system of cameras, which I believe may not actually be working during school hours. In my children's elementary school years ago, the Principal told us they were not working and that priority was given to middle and high school cams, but I doubt even those would be working all that well...

Absolutely. This is what disgusts me the most.

Read that again.
It would’ve been mass panic if they hadn’t.
You are an idiot.
They were in lockdown with an armed shooter.
They should have been actively filing students and staff out, classroom by classroom, and searching for the gun and the shooter.
