I looked at the larger photo and zoomed in.
It is pilling, and it looks even worse up close.
It’s really, really bad.
It's horrible. I don't know who told her that she looks good in camel, but they lied. I have her coloring, camel/beige is awful.
Ha. My mom and I had our colors analyzed for fun in Arlington, and my mom was just texting, "Usha needs to go to the woman we saw, that color is not for her :/" (Hey, Usha's friends, since I know y'all read here, or at least you were more obvious when she had her own thread: Tell your girl that she's a winter of some kind. She looks absolutely beautiful in jewel tones but camel makes her look like the ghost of an Oregon trail cholera victim.)
At this point I'm pretty sure that Usha just has a personal affinity for these colors that look terrible on her. She seems to really like camel/tan and pale pinky colors and they look so bad on her. Jewel tones do look beautiful on women with her skin tone. I don't get it.
I kind of get it. I used to love wearing pale blue. Turns out, I look really bad in pale blue...but I never wore the colors I looked good in, so I didn't realize how sickly I looked. So when I had my colors done and found out I was a spring, I was kind of disappointed. But the more I started wearing colors I looked good in, the more I got used to it.
I still wear pale blue sometimes, just away from my face. I think Usha should try like, camel pants and a jewel toned top. I think that would look pretty on her.
Yup, pp you responded to and I agree with all of this. Pale blue is also not my color, and who doesn’t love pale blue? But it’s just never going to be the best color for us. I am a winter/near fall and deep jewel tones look prettiest on me.
I also agree with the pp who suggested that these color choices are a weird, maybe subconscious attempt to emulate WASPY women. Deep jewel tones are of course emblematic of saris, and I think for the sake of her husband’s political career, Usha wants to stay as far away from suggesting or celebrating her ethnic origins as possible. This is a contrast from someone like Kamala Harris who at least occasionally wore Indian jewelry; we don’t really see someone like Usha doing that.
Saris come in all sorts of colors, including pale/pastel and muted colors like cream and beige, not just jewel tones. White woman don’t have a lock on subtle colors, but of course they think her dressing style is all about copying them![]()

I love the green for St. Patrick's Day but how do you guys rate her Trump(tm) cross? It's a 5/5 sparkly but size? 1/5 not BIG enough!
Zoom in - those are 3 very angry men
Good point. Why ARE those two men glaring at each other across the smiling face of the wife?

I actually think Melania is the prettiest and best dressed of all of them. She's had obvious work done but it's not as bad as someone like Kimberly or Kristi Noem. And she knows what cuts and colors work for her clothes.
Melania does look classier and better dressed. It's interesting that the person who would presumably be the leader of Trump women does not look like a Trump woman.

I’ve said this before: Melania gets it “right” 90% of the time. But the other 10% is just bonkers.
