Battlefield can’t help how the bracket is set up, and it has proven to be on par with some traditional powerhouses in Fairfax. Oakton has proven the skeptics and haters wrong all season and underscored that by going up 7-1 on Woodson and 8-0 on Robinson in route to comfortable wins. Congrats to both! It should be a great game.
The endless effort of the Battlefield posters who are trying to justify the teams schedule is laughable. You played the second weakest schedule of the top 10 6A teams. Those are the facts no matter how you spin the story. From someone who has no skin in the next game I hope you know this all comes across as very insecure.
The regular season means little. Championship births are earned during the one and done playoffs. The facts again are, Oakton earned their right to play tomorrow under this format. Battlefield used the candy land express lane playing zero competitive teams. There is little room for argument here. Battlefield had no pressure in the one and done games.
I was pulling for Battlefield as an underdog up until all the mindless dribble and pity party parents saying “notice us” chimed in on this board.

Ironically....if it were "One and Done" playoffs then Oakton would have been done twice. District finals and regional finals. So maybe keep your stones inside that glass house.
Your problems lie with VHSL. Stop using a keyboard as a way to put down teenaged girls.
The post you are reacting to was not from a Battlefield parent or fan, but rather a Concorde District parent giving well deserved props to both teams. Looks like you have a little egg 🍳 on your face.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Simply put, both teams have earned the right to play in the championship game.
