The current, official rosters of ECNL teams are readily available online. If you don't know how or care to find them and count, please don't bother posting. Do all of us a favor and take your uniformed opinion back to the rock from under which you came.

If it's so hard for you to grasp why people will pay money to get their kid on a very successful team despite the risk of not playing, then you're clearly not even close to getting there so see my previous suggestion.

Congratulations to the BSC 2011s for kicking a$$ and taking some top team names, three years in a row!

There are 23 in the latest photo from Instagram.

Our friend is on that team. There are 25 on the roster. That is more than two full teams. I’m not sure why anyone on here is acting like that’s reasonable.

You are straight up lying and you certainly don’t have a friend on the team. It is not 25.

its 24

It’s not 24 either…

Sooo..... 22/23 is customary, or normal. Seems like a lot to me but I am new to all this as mine are still in the younger age groups.

Some players are on that team just for the club to make money. A friend on that team told me the players use to be informed who is playing on game day, but now they find out at the game when they show up. We were playing them and the mom I knew said she wasn't sure her daughter was playing that day. (her daughter did play and started). I was told the roster is really large because they knew most of the team was doing U15 again, so they were trying to build up the roster for 2026-2027 year. The U16 team for next year is not looking as strong since the majority of the good players are repeating U15.

I’m sure that’s the justification the club gave, but this roster size is not an outlier for BSC.

I think even 18 is a lot for 11v11, kids need to play. 10-11 players for a 7v7 roster, 12-13 for 9v9 seems more reasonable. If you're not playing a majority of the minutes on a consistent basis it's a sign that you might be on the wrong team. There will always be exceptions and outliers.

Soccer = Playing minutes. If you don’t play meaningful minutes, you won’t progress. Simple. Pros at big clubs in Europe get paid millions but once benched, they leave let alone a small youth soccer club where you pay to play. It just does not make sense.

I heard the players dropping are basically taking over that team as that team wasn’t filled with “good players”.

11 play and 12 pay. Can’t tolerate this craziness

23 is a lot in a game of 40 minutes halves, you got to wonder how play time works.

45 minute halves. Only 18 girls can dress. 5 others come in opposite kit/warm up gear and cheer on the others.
