I would be letting them call Russia, too. Otherwise, as media is clamped down in Russia, how are normal citizens going to know what’s going on? Feed them the truth, not propaganda.

WTF. What kind of modern army shoots civilians trying to flee? I guess I shouldn't be surprised since Zelenskyy reported that the Russians were deliberately targeting civilian areas and blowing up apartment buildings like terrorists.

So the Russian soldiers are incompetent fools who don't know how to coordinate an attack effectively, and they're war criminals who senselessly murder families?

There is video footage today of the evacuation corridor being bombed to smithereens. This is the second day in a row that they promise ceasefire and don’t comply, in a city that has been cut off from electricity, water, sanitation and freezing winter temps.

It is time for complete and total isolation of Russia, by any means necessary, no negotiating with a thug with nuclear weapons. It is in part the Wests softness and appeasement that has led us to this. It is time for the president and our allies to stop cutting deals!

was playing automatically after a few others while I was vacuuming, but this is John Mearsheimer in 2015, and I see there is a new New Yorker article about how he blames the west for the situaiton.

What caught my ear was what happens when Putin feels backed into a corner.

Ukraine doesn’t want to be part of Russia. That doesn’t make Ukraine responsible for the war. Russia invaded them for no justifiable reason.
