If parents have several entities, or had several entities, rentals, is it possible they go under the microscope, then feds cut them a deal to talk?

He’s a fugitive with a track record of violence. Seems a prime case to hurt someone else who stumbles across him.

He’s probably way less dangerous than the average gangbanger in DC or Salva Maratrucha gang member.

They suspect him of murder, and have reasons to wait to charge him. Law enforcement decisions are based on factors other than keeping a case in the public eye.

In a high profile case, they would more than likely make it public so any arresting department would be aware. Think if he ended up out of the country, without that information, he would be let go.

If the parents were thought not to be acting in good faith (and that looks like a reasonable interpretation), then I don't think all warrants would necessarily be made public. You know, right, that LEO offices can communicate with one another outside of the public media? I don't think all BOLOs are made public, but I could be wrong.

I keep thinking that the Great Smoky Mountains would be an excellent place to hide. I head of a fugitive who lived in those woods a long time before being caught.

Exactly. I've heard FBI experts explaining reasons why they time charges and warrants later. The warrant for bank fraud is an easy starter.
