I’m no Jen fan - I find her vapid, fake and immature, but these Brandon takes “poor Brandon - he cheated and abused alcohol and drugs bc he was married to someone more famous than he is but he really loves the lord” are outrageous.

Are you also one of the posters saying you recognize the Holy Spirit in others or using random scriptures out of context to show back up your opinions about Jen and Brandon, because this tracks. This comment is hateful, discriminatory, and not remotely clever. Obviously, in this forum I don’t know if it was the same person spouting scripture and then making a bigoted “joke”. However, I’ve had similar experiences in churches and have seen a certain politician make fun of a person with a disability, all the while his followers defended him and brushed off the “joke.” This sort of behavior needs to be addressed in the evangelical community or people will continue to deconstruct. There’s a reason why Jen’s deconstruction and a move away from evangelicalism still garners support and loyal followers. People are willing to put up with the promo codes and goofy behavior because her experiences and story still ring true for so many.
Are we so polarized and tribal today that THIS is the response to a clearly distasteful joke? “Must be you Christians again!”?
I know self-professing Christians who are terrible people. Selfish, materialistic, greedy, judgmental. I also know self-professing Christians who are some of the kindest, most giving, LOVING people you would ever meet. Should they immediately be judged and discarded as fake because of the former?
I’ve been to a “mega” church where the pastor and his wife acted like the Prom King & Queen and carefully selected only the best looking and wealthy parishioners as their court. Sermons were meant to make us all “feel good” and the entire church was ran like an entertainment business. I’ve also been to a small local church that welcomes everyone. They help people pay their bills, have a monthly food giveaway, and call every Sunday morning our “Bible Study” time. Should people disillusioned by the first church throw away religion all together? Is the Bible really not the Word of God because some people use it as a prop?
Sorry for the rant, but this “let’s all deconstruct because someone somewhere did something bad” is so sad to me. If you had a terrible experience with Christians or with a specific church, I’m so very sorry. Throwing away all of your faith can’t be the right answer.

If he cheated with someone besides Tina that means he got caught by Jen with the youngin’ then met Tina soon after. All pretty shady business.
Second one cheered him on for banging someone decades younger than him. So it’s true, but you cheer him on for it!? Ewww. Are you also cheering him on for the drinking and gambling? Gross.
I just hope his new lady truly knows how low his bottom was because the cheating with strippers, gambling and drinking problems don’t just go away because you spend a couple months in reflection and then meet someone new. I’m all for rooting for someone’s healing, but rooting for their cheating is messed up.
Who said he cheated with strippers?!?! 😂 This thread y’all. It’s a trip.
I love how people keep dropping little bombs then moving right along.
I heard it was an addiction to little people porn that got away from him — it morphed into a fetish that he couldn’t control. Jen found out— Brandon tried to coax her into adopting some little people from some 3rd world countries. She saw it as an opportunity to gain more followers, but she just couldn’t get over what she’d seen.

The difference is that Brandon isn’t swindling people. No one is calling him a saint, but it’s hard to have the disdain for him that people do for Jen when she’s the one actively deceiving others.
HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE FOR AT LEAST FOUR YEARS. Now he's schilling real estate. My God.
Except. We literally have no idea if this is a fact. None!
I know it’s a fact.
How? People are gonna start calling you Jen!![]()
Can you share anything more about this?
If I told you, I’d have to kill you.
J/k, friends of friends w them both.
I’ve known a while but did not share it here until she essentionally shared it herself on Glennon’s podcast.
That’s all I know. I don’t know who or how long.
As much as jen irritates me, I feel awful for her. No one deserves that.
Thank you for sharing. I totally respect that you don’t want to say too much. Did you end up here from Google like most of us, or did someone send you the link? (Curious if there are more people who kind of know them on here than we realize.)
Another ex-ANCer told me about it.
No one has been more disappointed & hurt by the Hatmakers than all of us.

It seemed that based on the pics of his recent trip to Mexico, it was Brandon and Tina and Tina’s friends. He genuinely doesn’t seem to have any adult friends of his own anymore. I find it interesting that whatever he did was bad enough that his old friends don’t seem to be his friends anymore. Maybe that’s why he has all of these references to loyalty?
He has old friends who are still friends.
They just aren’t social media whores.
Who do you think got him his jobs?

What an idiotic attempt at trying to be funny.
This is so funny!!!!

Nope. Go back and read again. The first person said HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE FOR AT LEAST FOUR YEARS! All caps and everything.
The second person said he definitely didn’t cheat for 4 years.
