Based on the white outfit and the defense team bringing up the famous rapper in Vegas party, I’d say this was a ploy to sway the jury. Glad he never made it inside to the actual courtroom and only sat in an overflow room for 10 minutes.Anonymous wrote:That's Diddy's son who comes outside and greets Kanye before walking back inside the courthouse with Kanye.

I do see your point. But coercion isn’t just someone being moody or manipulative. In this case, we’re talking about threats, violence, drugging, control over someone’s money and freedom, and isolating them from help. That’s not a rough patch in a relationship; that’s a power dynamic being weaponized to force sex.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:There are 5 charges against Diddy. Two of those are two counts of sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion. The first count is based primarily on Cassie's allegations. Cassie testified to physical abuse (force/violence), emotional manipulation and threats (fraud/coercion), and her involvement in sexual events under duress.Anonymous wrote:All of these women arent the brightest tools in the box. They let a man without a gun or knife coax them into sex with multiple men back to back. They did it for perks like paid rent, fancy vacations, designer goods. It's called finding a sugar daddy. It's not a RICO case.
The second count is based on Jane's testimony. Jane testified to an argument with Diddy that led to him beating her, including putting her in a chokehold, punching her in the head, kicking her repeatedly as she lay in the fetal position, and then forcing her to take ecstasy, put on lingerie, and have sex with a male escort. That sequence: assault and then forced sexual activity, is a textbook example of sex trafficking by force. The drugging, manipulation, and financial threats that she testified to are the fraud/coercion elements of the sex trafficking charge.
Diddy is also charged with two counts of transportation for prostitution; these are both based on Cassie and Jane. Diddy arranged and funded travel for Cassie and Jane with the intent that they engage in sexual acts.
Then there is the RICO charge. It uses the other charges to help prove a larger criminal enterprise existed, but each of those charges can stand on its own. Specific to the RICO charge was Kid Cudi's testimony (arson and exortion), Eddie Garcia, the hotel security guard that diddy paid to have the tape of him beating Cassie (bribery and obstruction of justice), and then both Cassie and Jane (sex trafficking and forced prostitution).
I hope this helps explain the charges. The prosecution investigated Diddy for over a year before bringing these charges; they believe they have the evidence to prove each of them. So far, they have been doing a really good job. But Diddy has great lawyers, so we will see what happens once his team gets a chance to call witnesses.
Thanks for this summary. It seems like the fact that the women stayed with him kind of downplays the coercion angle, no? At the end of the day sex is different from violence and women getting coerced into sex they do not want is often considered just part of a relationship. You see it articulated here on DCUM. not saying I agree with this, but just wondering how the legal element of coercion can be proven when women have sex they do not want all the time.
So we’ve gone from talking about a serious trial to deciding that every famous Black rapper is secretly gay and violent because… they "look zesty"? Based on what, exactly? Your vibes? This isn’t insight, it’s just tired stereotypes mixed with some weird obsession. Maybe instead of turning this into a gossip-fueled fantasy about closeted rappers, we could focus on actual facts and not whatever your gaydar is telling you from 1992.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:So all of these famous rappers are DL closeted gay men who take out their repressed rage on their public “girlfriends”?
I really think so. All of them have that zesty look about them that sets off my gaydar, going back to Will Smith and Tupac Shakur 30 plus years ago. Same for all the R&B bands and singers too.

Everyone wants it to be Jay, but people online are pulling up receipts that it's Kanye and his wife. Makes sense, Kanye is the only celebrity who publicly supported Puff.Anonymous wrote:
