Bosnia and Somalia weren’t nuclear powers.
I do feel terrible for the children. I think we should at least cut Russia off completely. No trade at all. No visas or green cards. Kick Russians out of our graduate programs.
And first of all we need to get them the war planes.

I got this from NBC News... where did they get the video? It seems like a fake. Putin is sitting at a table with a lot of other people, a lot of young women actually.
But his head looks weird.

Hi!
After all these years teasing, do we finally have a real Russian here?!?
Anonymous wrote:Why the heck have we not got them the fighter jets yet? I saw something a week ago saying they were picking them up from Poland but then that didn’t happen. Can we please get them the jets before their pilots are all killed by cluster bombs? I get the no fly problem but why the hell can’t we get them planes NOW so they can protect their own skies????
And if some retired jet pilots from other countries want to volunteer with the UAF….well, that’s okay by me.

Russia already effectively lost the war. Ukraine is destroyed and the people are evacuating (so nobody to rule), and resistance/weaponry will keep flooding in to grind down the Russian army. They've destroyed their own economy and place in the world in order to create a wasteland where their soldiers will keep dying.
Exactly. Even if they take Ukraine (and they very well might), then what? Ukraine's wealth is in infrastructure (trashed and flattened) and agriculture (same) as well as its workforce (fleeing or fighting.) A huge amount of people already fled and more will flee. And it's not like Russia has excess population it needs space for so they can be happy about putting that excess population into Ukraine (in fact, Russia itself has arable land that's not used because they don't have enough people to work it.) A significant amount of people who stay are staying to fight them. The war is costing Putin a fortune at the same time he's tanked his economy and a long-term insurgency which will result if he conquers the place will cost more money that he is not swimming in.
He has wrecked his economy and any hope of most of the world willing to trust him in any sense to conquer a bombed out emptying out place the people of which hate him and will never integrate and will keep on trying to kick him out. He has also united the West in a way nobody has been able to do for as long as I can remember. These are not actions of a rational person in any sense.

Russia is filling Ukraine media with all sorts of misinformation and fake news in advance of an attack. Biden is working with many other countries to discourage Russian aggression and warn of economic sanctions these countries will impose. Biden does not have many choices here.
The Trumpublicans - led by FoxNews - are of course supporting their Russian masters in all this, and saying the US should just let Russia invade other countries without consequence. More traditional Republicans are saying the US should send military support to Ukraine. No matter what Biden does, they’re all sure to try to blame him if Russia invades.
Are there any good options?
