A lot of people already have backpacks. They don't need a special new one to pull off a crime purchased right before it happens. It's a needle in a haystack.
The fact that it's a needle in a haystack IS THE WHOLE POINT.
So yes, they DO need a special new one.
No one (except maybe you, apparently) would be dumb enough to use an old backpack that someone might recognize.
Better to use the most widely sold, generic backpack available.
Nice try. Any criminal worth their salt would realize that other criminals are undone by their recent Home Depot purchases of duct tape, rope, and a shovel. Don’t quit your day job.
Who says he bought it all together and at once?
You do. Thinking this backpack was recently at the nearest walmart.
Oh. Sigh. There. You go again, making assumptions.
Reading comprehension is fundamental.
1. No one said it was bought at the NEAREST WalMart
2. No one said the backpack was bought with other "supplies".
I bet you a Bitcoin I am right. I'll post my wallet address when the truth comes out and you can pay up. Lol.
Yawn. I find it hard to believe that someone is going to figure out this backpack before recognizing the guy in the video. But sure pin all your hopes on it.
+1
He no doubt got the backpack at Goodwill along with anything else he was wearing and probably burned it all after the kidnapping. The PP is hilarious.
You are actually like this guy was a criminal genius that planned out every step. He was not (as evidenced by trying to cover the camera with flowers). Even someone that fancies himself a criminal genius has dum slip ups (like Brendan banfield). What LE does is track down all these potential leads hoping they catch the slip up. Dumb criminals might have a lot of slip ups. On your theory, they basically would never catch anyone, if you just assume that the criminal has done everything in the smartest way. Luckily, most criminals are impulsive and not super high iQ, so they do things that are really not the most strategic.
A criminal genius so far. Everyone is looking for this guy and yet, nothing.

You sure about that? They are actually at the entrance/exit, parking lots, and in the stores.

Omg. Keep up. The whole point of what was said was that it's going to be very hard to trace.
You know what’s even harder to trace than a new backpack? An old one. Keep up, indeed.
How much DNA, pet hair, random material is on your old backpacks? If you had to leave it at the house or got separated from it, could it be traced to you? You betcha.

They are saying that this email has the same Bitcoin address listed so they are sure it is related to the previous one.
I find it problematic that the local Sheriff’s office + the FBI are not on the same page regarding this case.
The mere fact that these two entities cannot work together in unison illustrates to me how incompetent they both are since they should have all the training plus experience to be able to work things out as a team per say.
I feel this investigation will be negatively jeopardized if both agencies cannot work together since withholding pertinent info from one another can only compromise the speed of this investigation overall.
