Space, freedom and total awesomeness.

Why would they move? BTW the FTC Act says that the FTC is to have its principal office in Washington.

A subsequent law can change all that. Move the FTC too. Once it starts, it should all go.

Once Washington is a state then there is even more political force for there to be federal spending be in DC... Not less.

Scattering agency headquarters around the country will make government a lot more dysfunctional and inefficient. But that seems to be what the GOP loves doing most - making government dysfunctional.

Didn't we just spend a year proving teleworking is more efficient than driving into the office? Why does it matter where HQ is other than to pay salaries to local constituents to prop up the economy?

I'm pro-bike lane, but would just like cyclists to USE THEM instead of scattering pedestrians on the crowded sidewalks in my neighborhood.

Ludicrous considering how many blacks use bikes in DC (a lot). You aren't from here, are you. Just weak attempts at trolling from afar.

The racial-division trolling is always easy to spot.

Reality is that it is the poor who ride bikes the most in this country. Including in DC. More bike lanes are a way to help the less fortunate.

Your able-bodied privilege is galling.

They park in a disabled spot. of course.

Yes. The evenings are nice. We are going to try to do a 9pm outdoor dinner soon.

Chance of getting shot dining outdoors in DC is still pretty slim in the grand scheme of things. Statistically FAR less likely than that of being hospitalized or dying from dining indoors unvaccinated and unmasked, anyhow yet y'all think that's perfectly reasonable acceptable risk.

Do whatever they are doing now. There is still plenty of parking, and a lot of it is dedicated to placard-handicap drivers. They can also uber, take a bus or cab etc.

Oh stuff it with the faux concern about disabled people.

Entirely aside from the fact that some disabled people can (and do) ride a bicycle/tricycle - what should disabled people who don't drive do?
