Seems Arlington parents are pretty confident going into next year. That's great but do any of you really think you are on the same level as Loudoun?
I firmly stick by my feelings about FCV. The only thing that could change that is if the play-ups come back on age and we all know that is not going to happen.
VDA is the only big question as to what kind of player pool they were able to get, I honestly don't know but they usually have strong teams moving into 11v11.
As for Maryland, Pipeline took the top Baltimore Union Players and the best Celtic players went to Baltimore Armour. So yes, Celtic Union GA is going to struggle. Baltimore Armour will be the top GA team in the DMV.
Metro will be middle of the pack, again, pending the current '09 play-ups. If those players do not play on age, Metro could very well be below FCV. Great Falls did not have a great season and I do not know how many are making the change to Metro or moving to other Clubs.

5. VDA ECNL (Game wins over Arlington and Real Jersey)
6. +1 Arlington ECNL (Loss to VDA, Win over Armour)

8. +1 VYS (Unknown)
9. +1 PPA Green (Unknown)
10. +1 MD United ECNL (Unknown)

VDA comfortably beat Real New Jersey but will comfortably lose to Bethesda and Loudoun.

The 09 Arlington ECNL played together over the summer in Super Y. They actually won the 2008 age group playing a year up. Unfortunately for the previous poster(s), it looks like VDA could be a lot better than they think.
VDA is going to get beaten soundly twice this weekend and that's ok. They're a talented group and will take away lessons from playing two top teams.
