What happened, did he get hurt?

He was bound and thrown in the trunk of a car, but after 4 hours the captors let him go.

Anyway, Jason Miller is originally from Scranton, PA. He wrote a play "That Championship Season", of which he won a Pulitzer.

Because of the way he treated his wife, Jackie Gleason had him blackballed in Hollywood.

He returned to Scranton, was a falling down alcoholic who was mocked by people at the bars (Farley's, for those Scrantonians reading this), until he finally passed away.

It's was really sad to see.

Jason Patric has been a working actor for 30+ years

I had no idea Jason Patric was Jason Miller’s son. I went to the U in the 80s and had conversation and a drink with Jadon Miller at the Jesuit Estate. He was a chain smoker. Deep set dark eyes. I was a little fascinated by him. Back in the day Richard Harris was in residence for a year and as I recall he used to go out at night and drink with Jason Miller. God the memories. Scranton baby! Da U. Heyna!

Why was he blackballed?

Two names I never would have expected to see together in an anecdote, Julia Roberts and Coretta Scott King.

They both lived in the Atlanta area, why not?

They meant the John Hartman who was an artist. Not the comedian Phil Hartman.

I know this is random but I did not realize the actor that played Cher’s son in Mask was Eric Stoltz.

The paint used on the Tin Man contained aluminum powder landing Buddy Edson in the Hospital and replaced, the Cowardly Lion’s costume was made from a real Lion’s Hide, the witch was severely burned from a failed pyrotechnic trick; Toto’s foot was broken when stepped on and can be seen limping.

Weren’t there also suicides on the set?

No, that is a myth.

Actually, I think in one scene you can see where a stage hand accidentally hung himself on set?

No, still a myth/urban legend.
