Tiny privates don't cut. They're all hard up for students and cash, if you pay tuition you can get a roster spot. Club and rec teams at state universities would crush the average no-name private college.

Maybe even a worthless one in your opinion but they love it, it makes their whole college experience better, and there is much to be learned from being on a team at many levels. If you don’t get it, you don’t get it. I don’t think OP has ever been on a team, hence the unbelievably self centered perspective on other people’s kids.
