She was disrespectful to other council members and the public in springing something at 11PM with no advance warning. Even CM Chapman, who supported keeping Seminary four lanes, had to reprimand her for that. She is not being collegial or working jointly with her colleagues. In keeping with the bitterness, conspiracy talk, and lies of her online supporters on FB. Which cannot be pleasing to CM Chapman. Nor really, to anyone in the City who wants the Council to function - including lots of people and institutions with no interest in Seminary either way.

Democracy is messy.

Brava to Amy Jackson for up an issue that affects many

Glad you think that helped you. You should continue this approach.

Chapman was rude to Jackson because Chapman, like Aguirre, is terrified of the Mayor and constantly seeks to curry favor with the Mayor. This is all about the Mayor dictating the result as usual. Nothing else to see here.

She has greatly impacted hundreds of citizens lives in a very negative way and then lied about her reasons for doing so. It’s vile behavior and should not be tolerated.

I am the poster who called that PP out. I am against the road diet and have been involved in the efforts against it for two years. Nothing in my post indicated her actions are beyond reproach. No one needs to comment on a women’s appearance. If that poster attempted that on any of the sites that associate comments with names, I assure you he or she will be banned and shamed. And rightly so.

I don’t believe that vice mayor EBP lied. I do think she made the mistake of trusting city staff who takes orders only from the mayor. That’s a bad one to make.

I do not believe she lied. Her words and acts like the words and acts of everyone who supported the reconfiguration have been twisted and distorted.

The extent and duration of added delay will be discussed by the Council using actual data, not anecdotes. That will be weighed against benefits (including data on reduction in speeding).

This is the transportation equivalent of "I looked out my window and my street is clear, how come they canceled school?!"

They won’t revert it if the city gets that sidewalk grant. People who want to see this corrected should contact VDOT and request they reject the grant for this specific project.

EBP? Yeah, she is a nice woman but she is not prepared for this role and it shows. She might get re-elected given her high vote total, but I doubt she will be vice mayor again. I think two terms tops and she is out.
