gotcha. Maybe SYC will try to be the 3rd member of that alliance? Oh Oh here go the rumors.
Would make sense, VDA is always trying to get field space in Fairfax county. Not usually a good deal for those clubs as they take a half field minimum for each practice, pushing non-da teams into even tighter spaces.
Pepe going to VDA and taking all of his players with him! Rumor started!

I think Scott Simpson was one. And Fabien (maybe?) was the other.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:They should have kept Este it seems SYC will get the last laugh.
Este quit, so not much they could do there. Este has a job on his hands rebuilding SYC and Roberto has a job on his hands with LMVSC. The clubs will not live and die on their TD, they will rely on a lot of volunteers and staff. The cult of the TD in this area is so dumb. Este wasn't LMVSC and he won't be SYC. Most players will never interact with him. Most coaches won't see him but twice a year for a meeting. That's how he operated at LMVSC and I don't think his move to SYC was about him changing the way he does things.
And at the end of the day, these 2 clubs provide a service for thousands of kids, many of which don't play travel soccer, so this pissing match about who "will get the last laugh" is really in pour taste. These clubs need to worry about their own membership and communities. If any club out there is building it's business plan on destroying another one, they've lost sight of what is important.
