Second year in a row locked out of lottery. I am PISSED. A high 200s at Latin. 100s. 75 at one school. My feeder patterns are JEFFERSON for a kid that scores 4s and 5s on PARCC. I HATE THIS SHIT.
Jefferson isn’t a bad school.
Did I say it was? What I said was I have a high achieving kid that doesn’t require the kind of awesomesuperGod wraparound support that Jefferson provides. Great principal, A+ with regard to giving his kids the structure that they may not otherwise be getting. Highly recommend it for families that need it. That’s not us.
Well yeah, it sounded like you think your kid is too good for Jefferson. Enjoy your move to NW/MD/VA!

I think your karma and sense of entitlement clearly must have affected your master number.
It is a lottery. Your kid's 4s and 5s do not make them any more worthy of Washington Latin than anyone else.
I don’t believe in Karma.
The only thing that affected my SPOT is MY ADDRESS which is an issue of EQUITY NOT KARMA.

Wait-listed at 269 for Lee, 248 for ITD, 335 for CMI, etc. We did end up matching at our safety - Friendship Armstrong - which historically has no wait list.Just posting to make almost all of you feel better.
You’re not last: we got 374 for CMI.
Oh no! Sorry you are in the same boat. Hope you got placed somewhere!

Move IB to Hardy.
My kid has never scored less than 5s. Doesn't do his homework and missed lots of days of school. Jefferson doesn't suck, you elementary sucks.
