Thank you. These LAMB folks act as if they are a private institution run on a private endowment. They aren't. It's completely reasonable that DC residents (like me) and DC taxpayers (like me) are interested in this situation.

A hefty judgement against them may affect the Kingsbury deal. That seems to be a financially precarious deal as-is.

And I don't blame abused families for leaving. Not only did the school fail these children and their families but so have other LAMB parents by being messy in here.

I'd never want my children to go to a school so full of people willing to judge me WHEN MY CHILD WAS ABUSED.

They also have $3 Million in equity in the Missouri Avenue building.

Why couldn't they be made to borrow against that to pay off a lawsuit, if they reach their insurance caps?

That sort of thinking kills me. It's like people who think having "health insurance" is the answer to having access to health care. Insurance isn't a magic wand that makes the actual costs of health care go away.
