The insurance company will have their own investigator.

Yup. If it's going go be out there anyway, then I will use it to my advantage. As another PP noted, notice how everybody is talking about Kim but I bet 90 percent of you couldn't pick Ray J out of a line up.
You all really believe it was accidentally leaked? That tape was made to be lemonade from the get go.
She made the tape in 2003. It was leaked in 2007. Are you trying to tell me that Kim K plotted back in 2003 to make this video with her boyfriend that she could then pretend to leak four years later? That story is more plausible to you than the one where Ray J sold it to Vivid who was going to release it and Kim did the math and figured it was better to get a cut of the proceeds vs. waste time trying to take them to court.

No we (Or i) believe Ray j leaked it to vivid who were going to release it and Kim realized she would lose in court trying to stop it getting out so instead made a distribution deal with vivid so she would get paid.
I don't think she intentionally made a sex tape to get famous, I think she bade the video consensually with her boyfriend. No one else got nearly as famous or rich as she did post sex tape, there was no reason for her to expect this outcome.

KK has a huge security deal yet nobody there. She reported she was handcuffed, mouth taped, legs duct taped---but she also ran to friend and told her to jump out the window. It all sounds implausible.
Where did you read that they think it's a hoax? All I've read is that they think it was an inside job and they seem to be investigating and taking it seriously. Apparently, they've located a video of the robbers.

Let.it.go.
What's funny is that many of the women slut-shaming Kim K has probably given many a drunken blowjob or sloppy sex session to some random guy in college. But, it's not on tape so it's cool.
My hat is off to that family's hustle. They know how to make a dollar!
You've got it wrong, but go ahead and assume that others are doing the same if it makes you feel better. There are values that our kids need to learn that are far more important than how to hustle a dollar by any means available.
Here's an interview she did with Oprah regarding her sex tape and the regret and humiliation she felt.
I hope you ladies are perfect angels and have never done something stupid when your were younger that you would now regret. And I hope you don't slut shame your daughters for the rest of their lives if they impulsively did something dumb one day--be is sex, drugs, alcohol, etc.

And that tape would have been tossed into the pile of all of the other internet sex tapes out there if Kim hadn't decided to market it herself. In 2003 the internet was still a budding dinosaur. Most people have still not seen that tape nor do they want to see it. If she had wanted to keep a lid on it she could have simply NOT made mention of it at every turn. It would have gone away, Kim would have gone away. But that isn't at all what Kim wanted.
Yes, she should have just coward to the public and the media that hounded her and hung her head in shame being the sorry little slut she was.![]()
No, she simply did not have to PROMOTE IT and make people aware of it. Which is what she did. I am not at all convinced that she was not the person who put that out there to begin with. There is a rumor that her *mother* helped her do it - crazy.
Do you even hear yourself?? Do you know what the definition of promote even is?
Please share your examples of this elaborate "promotion'' that she conjured up. People were ALREADY aware of it. Just because you live in a hut doesn't mean the news of her sex tape, even in the rumor phase, was not all over the place in Hollywood and with people across the world that keep up with the Hollywood stuff.
It was big news, she didn't have to do any 'promoting' to bring it to the headlines. She was a really pretty girl from a family that was quite well known in important circles of L.A./Hollywood and was friends with other big wig family kids like Paris Hilton living in a rich part of L.A. It was fodder for the headlines.
Yeah? The average, every day person didn't know who she was. No one cared. It was Hollywood - there is probably a lot of that sort of stuff happening in her social circle. Most people would not go out of their way to put themselves in the public eye and make themselves a household name known for that sort of thing. But Kim took her 5 minutes and made the most of them, right?
Um yes. She did.
Serious question. If someone told you tomorrow that if you video taped sex with your husband or significant other (ie, consensual sex with someone you were in a committed relationship with) and released it to the public that you would become a multimillionaire and secure the financial future of not just yourself but for your entire extended family for generations would you really say no?
I guess I'm an immoral whore because I would do that in a hot second.
That just isn't the life that I lead...no, I can't imagine this happening in my world. It would mean me and the people I love being totally different people than we are. Some things are priceless don't ya think?
It isn't so much about the sex tape getting out there (that can happen to anyone) it is the running with it that is foreign to me.
Kim K better watch out, we've got Ms. Can't-imagine-someone-being-different-from-me over here that's going to give Kim a battle the title for the most self absorbed.
Don't need a sex tape to be a self-absorbed, judgmental Judy.
And FYI- SEX SELLS. That's been the case since the dawn of time, but it's pretty amazing you think that the Kardashian clan are the ones who invented that since selling sex sounds so foreign to you.

You know her because of the tape. I have never see. the tape. I know her because she is on every damn magazine and blog such as DCUM. You people
Keep her in the news in your efforts to both body sham and slut shame her.
