I wash the clothes and hang them to dry. We share the task of ironing and folding. Everyone puts away their own.

My husband is much better at laundry than me. He remembers when the dryer cycle ends and gets the clothes out before they wrinkle. He is awesome at folding them neatly. We put our own clothes away but will help each other with the actual doing of laundry. Although in reality, now that I am back at work, the housekeeper does 90% of the laundry and we just put our own stuff away.

Yes, it would never occur to me not to do it. It makes more economical sense to wash full loads. I sort and wash his, mine, and the children’s clothes together. I SAH and works many hours, it would feel wrong not to do his. I put all the clothes away usually except if the kids are home as I finish folding, I send them upstairs with their piles to put away.

I fold his laundry because its something he loathes doing and I don't mind it. I'm much better at folding his t-shirts and it makes me happy to see how pleased he gets with the care I put into it for him.

I loathe scrubbing toilets and doing dishes and he doesn't mind that, so he does those things.

It's all about compromise and trade-offs.
