Babies who die before baptism don't get into heaven.
There is such a thing as the Devil. And Hell.
If you hear the word of God and don't believe, you are damned.
I saw the movie the Exorcists and was terrified for years. Found out that according to my Catholic faith, it could ALL BE TRUE.
Women can't be/shouldn't be priests.
The best woman was the one who somehow found a way to give birth AND remain a virgin.
All the best jobs, like Father, Son, and Priest are held by males.
The reason for human suffering is that stupid B*tch Eve and the whole Apple thing, which is why women suffer in childbirth to this day.
God made man first, and woman as an afterthought, was created from a part of his body. Instead of, of course, the obvious truth, that all living beings are created from their mothers' bodies.
etc. etc.
So this thread is about Wiccans hating on Christians? Got it!
Probably not worth discussing all your errors. Guess I won't bother to talk to you about churches that use "she" for God, and have women priests, think that non-believers (including unbaptized children) get into heaven, and so much more. I'm not interested in engaging somebody as ignorant and bigoted as you and, anyway, your ignorant nastiness in the post above is sort of amusing....
I am not the OP, and I went to Catholic school from K through 12. Please be specific about what items above are "ignorant", as in, not reflective of Catholic dogma?
She didn't identify it as Catholic. She left it vague, so that it seems to apply to all Christians. As if all Christians take Adam and Eve literally, think non-believers are going to hell, no churches have women priests.
Do you see the statement, "They also taught me that my non-Catholic beloved, kind uncle was not getting into heaven" at the beginning of this post???
You may as well give up. The PP either lacks reading comprehension or has an ax to grind and isn't interested in meaningful dialog.
+1. Atheist ex-Catholic PP has joined the Wicca thread and has ruined it with her irrelevant anti-Catholic rants.
Nice job, Atheist ex-Catholic PP.
You need meds.

One of the great things about earth based religions is its lack of creed. You have the freedom to step away from organized religion and realize that at its very core, everything on this earth is connected and that it needs to be embraced, nurtured, and celebrated.
Oh, really now! EVERYTHING is connected and it needs to be embraced, nurtured and celebrated? No, thank you. Evil is not connected to good, my friend, and evil in no way needs to be embraced, nurtured or celebrated.
Are you talking about the catholic church, who shelters pedophile priests?
Evil is connected, simply by trying to out-do good IMO.
I may be wrong and OP please correct me, but I think by "everything" the reference is to earth itself.
I can't put my thoughts into words, but I realize that evil isn't included in the embracing, nurturing and celebrating the way the earth is.
Wiccans are not evil, and don't celebrate evil.
You can't put the thought into words, because it's an absurd thought. "Evil" may not be included, but Someone (God) has to define evil -- otherwise, we would be all living like OP -- defining for ourselves what is right and what is wrong. What a nightmare that would be.
And this is why Christians and other people of the book are terrifying. Do you seriously mean to say that you can't define good and evil for yourself? You are so out of control that you don't recognize good for yourself and would do evil without the fear of eternal punishment? You have ZERO control over your own actions? What kind of monster are you?
As for one example: You do realize that there are many people who think that pedaphilia is just fine, just another alternative lifestyle and who are you to determine what is sexually appropriate for other people? Your naivety is astounding.

I found them lighting candles (and accidentally burning a hole in the carpet in DD's room) and saying chants asking to become wealthy and popular. She painted a doormat with runes on it to "keep out evil spirits" and snuck out with her friend at a sleepover at the friend's house to go to some big Wicca gathering. Apparently there were lots of older women who were really interested in DD and friend and kept saying how they really wanted the girls to come back, they would look after them, etc etc. It seems creepy and invasive.
I think it's just a phase that DD is going through but I'm not sure.
